The Answers

The following are the answers to the above frequently asked questions:

1. Why can't I order a Custom Display, Engines or Displays with an Engine using your shopping cart?
   You're right, you cannot use our shopping cart to order our Custom Displays, Engines or Displays with Engines.  In all cases, we are dealing with "one of a kind" availability.  To insure the item is available for purchase, Engines and Displays with Engines are ordered by supplying an "Offer to Purchase".  This guarantees the availability of the item you wish to purchase before you make payment.
   
   The answer for Custom Displays goes a little further.  The engine or specifications for the engine supplied by you, must lend to a display that we can provide.  In some instances, physical dimensions of the engine (even though in the given range of engine we normally provide for) prevent us from being able to provide a custom display.  Thus, by requiring you to present your engine specifications or engine, you are not making payment for something we cannot provide.  We found this method preferable to refunding monies for engines that we can not accommodate.
   
2. I submitted an offer to purchase a Display with Engine, doe this mean I've purchased the Engine?
   Technically NO.  Once we have received your Offer to Purchase, we insure the item is still available and then send you a payment request.  At the point you received a payment request, you can be assured the item is available for your purchase.  Also, the item is now "reserved" for you for a period of 10 days from the time you are sent a request for payment.  Once you've fulfilled the payment request, the item will be shipped to you.  Payments by mail cannot be shipped until payment is received.  Personal checks must clear our bank before item will be shipped.
   
3. Is my offer to purchase a binding contract?
   No, your Offer to Purchase is not a binding contract.  It is the mechanism we use to insure availability of the item.  We do expect you to follow through with the transaction.  However, if for any reason, you decide to not follow through with purchase of the item, please notify us immediately of that decision so that we can make the item available to someone else.  You will be given 10 days from the time a payment request has been sent to you to complete the transaction.  After 10 days reserved items will be returned to stock and no longer available to you.
   
4. I purchased a display using your cart, how long will it be before it arrives?
   As items purchased using our shopping cart are funded immediately, you can expect shipment in 24 to 48 hours by USPS Priority Mail.  Normally end-to-end time (from the time you order until your item arrives) will be seven (7) days or less.  Delivery confirmation is included with most all orders.
   
5. I don't have a PayPal account.  Can I still order a Display Case?
   Most everyone can use PayPal for payment. to us.  Signup is quick and easy as is the payment process.  Your payment can be made using your Credit Card or your checking account.  For more information on  PayPal, CLICK HERE.  If you choose not to us PayPal, you can also complete your transaction by mail.  We accept personal checks, cashier's checks and money orders.
   
   Note:  If you are using our shopping cart and do not already have a PayPal account, continue to make your order and you will be taken through the signup process at checkout.
   
6. I want to purchase a Custom Display, How do I get my specifications to you?
   In a short time, precise information will appear within our website.  Until that time, please simply E-Mail us and we will provide you with the necessary information you will need to "spec" your engine.  Please DO NOT send us your engine unless you've been requested to do so.  In some cases it may not be possible to provide a proper mount and fit for your engine without the actual engine.  Please, DO NOT send us any engines larger than .46 ci displacement.  We cannot provide displays at this time for larger engines and you will be billed for return shipment.
   
7. You have an Engine that I would like to purchase.  Can I get a Display with it?
   Yes, if the Display Case appears for the particular engine on our Display Only page.  If it does not, it may still be possible to order a Custom Display.  In many cases a Display Case is not offered due to size restrictions of the engine (see above).  When in doubt, simply contact us with the item number of the engine you wish to purchase and request a compatible Display Case.
