About this item
Offered is a Cold War era 1978 Russian 7cc (.42 ci) Raduga
(Rainbow). The 7cc Raduga engines were produced under a
state sponsored program for Russia's own fliers. Originally
these were produced for U/C Stunt and then modified later for Radio
Control with the R/C carburetor as offered here . The Raduga
was built over some 6-7 years in small quantities and were well
proven before R/C use.
Most collectors and fliers in U.S. will find this an unusual item as
it was never exported to the U.S. from Russia . You'll be
quite tempted to run this unique engine. An "M" appears next
to the "7", apparently etched by the original owner. This engine is in a
very good to excellent condition with excellent compression.
Head screws are pristine. Back plate shows no abuse. Engine comes complete with muffler,
muffler screws, tool, glow plug and a VP Model Engine Display Case
in dark mahogany.
